bordeaux villa: extension
The existing Bordeaux Villa by Rem Koolhaas was designed for a disabled man with a wife and 2 children. Koolhaas proposed the building would ‘fly’, with the principle tectonic as a box in the air, capturing full views of the city. The extension aims to further expand the ‘building culture’ that is emerging in the field of 21st century global architectural practice. The expansion explores expanding and reappraising the existing tectonic by providing a comentary on the lightness of concrete and exaggerating the effect of the floating box. |
